Don't be so stupid! Would you stick your genitals into a bees next just to see if they'd sting?

What a thoroughly pointless exercise: let's see if Scots enjoy being talked down to by English people. You should continue your research, you might even get funding for it.

thats it! why are you scots so sensitive about a bit of banter? every other country/ region takes the flak but as soon as it's scotland's turn you throw your rattle out the pram!

I can't speak about Scots in the generals terms that you do, but personally I don't like being talked down to by English people (or the Irish, for that matter). I should probably add that I make a distinction between England (i.e. London) and Up North. Whilst I'm fine with people from, say, Rotherham making jokes at the Scottish expense, I draw the line when you get to England proper because they're generally misinformed snobs or complete pond life in that neck of the woods.

I guess it boils down to a clash of personality: whilst Scots are generally fairly cynical and pessimistic, the English are overly-confident and enjoy talking too much.

In my experience of living in London my whole life (and also living in Leeds for a bit), I couldn't disagree with you more. The people here don't talk to each other enough, that's why no one understands each other and everyone hates everyone else. Although that's probably true of most of the human race in general.

Finding someone in London that speaks English is hard enough.

I agree, Glasgow is teeming with the lowest forms of life to be found outside of Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester, which is why I'm glad I'm not from Glasgow.

In addition to Lev's well-noted point about the language barrier in London, people in London are cunts. I've only been there three times but I wouldn't be too bummed if I never had to go again.

I meet more English people abroad than anywhere else and I usually end up not talking to them because they just never shut up.
