Cathedral playing all of Forest Of Equilibrium

Postby satanic_goat_christ on Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:33 pm

It's a while off yet, but fucking hell this should be awesome. 3rd December at the Islington Academy, apparently they're playing the whole of Forest Of Equilibrium (hopefully with flutes) with the original lineup, then doing another set with the current lineup of all their newer stuff. I think my brain might come out of my ears when they play Reaching Happiness Touching Pain.

Apparently Napalm Death are playing the Underworld on the same day. ND it is!

Why watch Napalm Death when you could watch Cathedral twice in one night?

They're almost equal for me. But the chance to see Cathedral twice in one night, one with the classic Forest line-up... Yeah, I'll take that.

When I saw Cathedral earlier this year they were so boring. I can't imagine what 2 sets of them would do to me.

I saw them at High Voltage and they were very fucking good. Corpsecycle is a great live track and they played a really good, varied set of from their back catalogue. However, I only know bits of Cathedral and The Ethereal Mirror is the only album I really know. Therefore, as much as I like them, I can't really get that excited about this - though, in theory it sounds great.

Napalm Death are still the ultimate, however.
