Apparently Skolnick's a huge jazz freak these days, and even does Iron Maiden jazz covers! Weird.
I fucking love Testament, they just totally struck the right balance between aggression and musicality. It's the same way I feel about Megadeth. Just killer shit.

First album is the only interesting thing that they did really, i have tried to listen to other stuff but it doesn't have the songs or the energy of that debut release.

nah megadeth had balls, there was always aggression up until CTE. Testament are just boring.

Easily one of my favourite thrash bands. First heard them on an old compilation album called Time to Kill or Time to burn or something which featured Burnt Offerings. I just played that track over and over again until I found The Legacy album a week or so later.
I saw them on the Clash of the Titans tour in '90 and even though they only had half an hour, they were still brilliant and easily as good as Megadeth.
Talked to Chuck, Paul and Steve at JB's a couple of years ago and they were all top blokes. Paul gave me and a mate of mine his drumsticks and we all sang happy birthday to Chuck. Which was nice.
Can't wait to see the original line-up (well 4/5 of them anyway) at Bloodstock.

One of the greatest bands Bay Area have ever produced. "The Legacy", "The New Order", "Practice What You Preach", "Demonic", & "The Gathering" are top albums. I have met Chuck and Eric in Athens in 2000 and signed my albums. One of my proudest moments.

Testament sre fine. I really enjoy The Legacy but beyond that I have no idea. The Lgacy doesn't blow me away though. A solid band. Np more, no less

Their first 4 albums are awesome, the later 2 of them (PWYP and SoB) have more groove -inspired parts but I think they're fucking awesome, Testament were a great band!!!

Had to pull out of going to that show 'cause the wife was expecting to drop our first born at any given day.
However, one of my mates knows the band and went backstage with them (which of course he took great pleasure in texting me about) and I ended up having a text conversation with the band via his phone.
