Worst gig injury?
And I mean actual injuries, not "got pissed and puked up". I want blood, broken bones, torn muscles...

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Nothing serious for me me, but my brother had a septum piercing torn out in the pit at a show once.
In another me-related incident I once headbutted a guy at a gig whilst headbanging. No blood but his brow swelled up pretty bad, so we got him a cold beer to hold against it and after a while he seemed fine, if a little woozy. It later turned out I'd fractured his skull. To this day one of his eyebrows is slightly lower than the other as a result.

I've never been injured, however I have:
Broken a guys nose with my hand flailing around
Broken someones nose with the back of my head cause I tend to headbang and mosh at the same time
Broken someone elses nose, on the same night, doing the same thing.
Broke the part of the skull where the eyebrow is by hitting them doing the same thing I did the first time.
I think out of all the gigs i've been to that's not bad.

Bunch of wusses! Anyone can get hurt at a metal gig. My worst gig injury was at Bob Dylan a few weeks ago. Tore my right calf muscle about half a mile from the N.I.A., had to hop the rest of the way, lots of stairs. Unable to walk properly for a week, lots of swelling and the oddest bruising I've ever seen.
Oh got punched in the face moshing to "Burning of Sodom" at Nottingham Rock CIty in 1987.

The only actual injury i have sustained at a gig was at donnington in 87, when i smacked my nose while headbanging to wasp. I was right down the front, and really didnt want to miss anthrax, so i stayed put and just carried on headbanging. I looked like i had been shot in the face by the time they had finished!!!
I saw plenty of injuries on the night in 87 when Onslaught played the colston hall. The colston hall had those old style wooden cinema seats (that fold down at the front), and the stage diving was really manic. At the end of the set, the first 4 rows of seats had been completly flattened, and quite a few casulties had been taken to hospital. Onslaught were banned from playing there again!!!!

So in other words you're the sort of guy everyone else at the gig hates.
I hate moshing, circle pits, stage diving, and so on - these life-affirming practices have no place in my grim and frostbitten kingdom.
