It was quite a nice day actually...

Sure you were in Chesterfield?
The wife's from there and every time I have to go visit the in-laws the weather is shit. Really shit.
I went to Saltergate to watch Chesterfield play Kidderminster a few seasons ago and I couldn't tell which was louder - the cheering when Chesterfield scored the winner or the constant sound of teeth chattering and feet stamping.
Not that Jan Molby seemed to care. Stood there in shorts and a t-shirt while everyone else froze in warm coats and thermal underwear. Legend.

Wow, that got off-topic in record time!

Me and the bhoy Lyall went to see them against Bury last night - nice weather again AND they're now top of League 2.

Cloughie still blew you out tho didnt he

and if you didnt keep wasting money on watching gay football teams then maybe you would have the cash to fund your recording!!!!!

Shurrup! We're doing our homework. How can we record a song called 'Saltergate' if we've not got a taste for it recently. I was practising my vocals along to the tune of...

"CHIM-CHIMENEY CHIM-CHIMENEY CHIM-CHIM CHIROO

WE HATE THE BASTARDS IN YELLOW AND BLUE!"

STD have done two EPs. With 'Fuck Disney' we came up with the name and then got a friend to draw a scene with the Disney castle on fire and selected characters with their heads on sticks and that sort of thing. However, it was a bit too detailed so we just used the castle. The 'Anti-EP' was a really rough project and has no artwork. With the album we intend to get the first guy to do something. We've posted him some covers as influence, gonna see what happens...

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

I've been in Chesterfield on a match day against Mansfield. Not the usual pleasant and jovial atmosphere...

Chesterfield are playing Mansfield away very soon (they might have done already infact) and all their allotted tickets to the game sold out immediately. They're just gonna go there and kick off.

My mate Dave has just got a Five hundred quid fine for slapping some spireites in Mansfield town centre last year.

Mansfield is a grim city indeed to go to for a football game, not as bad as Macclesfield or Grimsby though!

As far as covers go I think photshopped ones are rubbish. The only thing worse is one where a band has recycled some picture they found on Google of a car crash victim or something. Hand drawn art is the way to go: there's masses of talented underground artists floating around, just get in touch with one of them with a concept.

In general if you wouldn't want the picture as a poster on your wall then I wouldn't bother with it.

Ours is imminent but don't know what direction to take for who to do it. Did you get a mate to it, did you pay for one (if so how much?), did you do it yourself coz you're arty?

Jus' wonderin like.

Ours took a lot of hard work. Logo...on a black background...with a stormtrooper....

Masterpiece.

Staying firmly in tradition and keeping the thread nicely off-topic, Chesterfield just spanked Mansfield 3-1.

Mind you, highlighting the beauty of this THRASH metal forum, your 700th post is about an obscure league two football match. =D>

I'd always be looking for a fight if I supported a crappy league 2 team in a northern shithole though.
