I doubt this thread will hold any interest for most of you, but i've just been going through a facebook group "remembering Derby Rockhouse (later the future club)".
It was a proper old rock venue, where the paint was peeling, you stuck to the floor through the threadbare carpet, and beer was cheap and the food atrocious, but i virtually lived there in the late 80s early 90s.
It never got as many gigs as it could have (probably due to the close proximity of rock city in notts), although they did turn down anthrax in early 85 as they didnt think they would pull a crowd (this was before Spreading was released) and they were only asking £200!!!!
If anyone here knows the venue from years gone by (ribbons???), check out the photo gallery. There could well be many faces you know (there was for me).

this is the same club that napalm death and heretic played last year, although it isnt a metal venue anymore.
I do remember seeing one of sabbats very earliest gigs there tho, back in 87 and also in 91 morbid angel, immortal and moonspell.
