Well I'm celebrating Candlemas further today, with my favourite Candlemass track - Samarithan! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

That album is the BBB of doom in my opinion. I haven't heard much doom but how can it not be?

I bought 'Epicus Doomicus Metalicus' and after hearing it went straight back down to the record shop to buy 'Nightfall' (which had just come out). So heavy, so slow... love 'em . The new album is really good, shame the singer has left I love his voice.

They do have a great replacement though. I'm sure they will kick just as much bum as they ever did.

I used to record Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show on Radio 1 years ago. He played Kreator's Behind the Mirror, followed by Bewitched by Candlemass one night.

I nearly wore that part of the tape out after just a few days.

I've recently decided that Epicus is basically as good as Nightfall, and also has the superior claim of coming first - Nightfall really doesn't do anything new at all, just refines the formula and is perhaps full of more memorable moments.
