Theres a pingu dvd in HMV for like £4 atm loads of episodes on it. I had to by my dad a Paddington Bear dvd for his birthday and was quite tempted.
That's why I thought it was Swiss. Well, apart from the flag at the end Pingu occasionally said bitte.
In the seagull one did the seagull not get its beak caught by a lobster?

I can't find a picture of Pingu doing the insane beak-horn, otherwise I would make that my avatar.

You have to love the TARDIS-like qualities of his igloo.
Doing impressions of Robby completely destroys your throat.
Fascinating!

Re: Pingu
I didn't realise how good this was until I started watching it with my little bros. I think I was about the age where you go 'I'm too mature for clay models' like you do when you're about six and so largely missed pingu when I was young. However, my bros wee watching it and sometimes I'd watch it hen baby sitting and I was surprised how much I laughed. Good quality humour.
