Weee went to the maltings ale festival yesterday, 250+ south west ales and one glass :-)

Was awsome fun, Devonshire 10der was really nice, tasted like drinking yogurt, Tanked up was horrible, i did have a list of everything i tried but its gone :-(

Anyone here ever had Mathers black beer??? It is an authentic yorkshire drink apparently. I got some from morrisons and its bloody shit!!! 8.5%, concentrated malt liquor. Tastes like fuckin black treacle mixed with ditchwater :sick:

however, it does say on the bottle that it is for mixing, so gonna try it with tonic or some such stuff and see if its any better

Any ideas what would be best??

I'm gonna have to get me some of that! Have you tried Orkney Skullsplitter? Lovely stuff in the same vein of the stuff you mentioned.
