I posted an add on SLAYERs myspace account a couple of nights ago. I got a quite a few friend requests for my band JEKAZOL flooding in from the Slayer fan base (and grateful I am too). Nearly all of them contained images of real life horrific accidents and/or murders. Two of them contained images I can't even talk about here for fear of being wiped off the members list.

I am a die hard fan myself, I must add -and don't get me wrong- It's just that it makes me think about Dimes death and the kind of fucked up mind it takes to realise these extremes.

The questions for debate are: With the lyrics on 'JIHAD' for example -do Slayer potentially put them selves in harms way? and -with view of Extreme Metal- Should certain subjects be left alone even if we do have the rights to free speach?

I know the difference between fantasy and reality, as do nearly everyone else who listens to extreme music, but there will always be those who don't, but hy should the nutters spoil it for the rest of us?

Yeh, well I've noticed that a lot of Slayer fans are complete idiots and wouldn't be suprised that certain ones take things seriously and end up having views that none of Slayer do. But what can you do?

yeh post whatever you want really. I heard the mod (think his name is 'Gaymes' or something) saves all the images up and then gets them printed on cakes which he in turn sends to orphanages and on the box it says "For All The Brave Children Of *Insert Orphanage name Here*.

We're not all like that you know.
Not all of us try carving the band logo onto ourselves or try chewing through metal fences to get to the band.
I consider myself to be quite a well rounded (very round, actually) individual who just happens to be attracted to Slayer's brand of mayhem more than most other bands.
A few of my friends are as mad on Slayer as I am but none of us are as retarded as some of those muppets that appear on the War at the Warfield DVD.

yeah they always leave other bands out its just the big 4 theres rarely any mention of german thrash at all.

I dont think you should judge a band by their fans cus thats something the band doesnt choose.
