Super cool bands
Which bands are cooler than Tony Soprano sitting on a chair smoking a cigar, declaring "Motherfucking cocksucker"? I am currently listening to Jefferson Airplane and they're really fucking cool, in the same kind of way the Stones are fucking cool, if you know what I mean, that amazing 60s/70s fucking cool rockin boys type feeling of joy. What other bands are super cool in this lovely way? I want to hear more. Imagine the Secret Treaties album by Blue Oyster Cult, or the song L.A. Woman by The Doors, or any Tarantino or Scorcese film soundtrack, that's the kind of vibe I'm going for here. Not in a 'label me' sort of way, just 'that's your vibe, that's your vibe...'

Duran Duran
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I've been enjoying some Fleetwood Mac lately.

Re: Super cool bands
I know alot of really cool bands jon, but i'm not going to tell you about them because you should be able to find them yourself. stop being a prick and quit your job and spend all your life sitting in your pants on your laptop being cool.
you can't just pretend to be cool and expect people to just pour cool bands into your ears, you need to earn their musical respect by seeking out the gems yourself. show me some cool bands i don't know and maybe i'll divulge some real extreme coolness. hahahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHBW\AHAHAIUASIUAIUDIUHASDIHSADLJKUHASDLKJFHSDJKFUHSjdhfasjdhgfsajhdgfjahb.

come on craig both periods of Fleetwood mac are amazing, obviously they are basically 2 different bands, but sometimes you just have to appreciate the rough and the smooth haha!

FALSE! Peter Green earlier stuff wicked. Green Manelishi is even better Fleetwood-ised than Priest-ed or Melvins-icated (though both covers rule too). Later stuff is mostly terrible. The Chain is good. Tell me Lies is atrocious. I asked my brother if he enjoyed it in an ironic sense (like say how someone might enjoy Total Eclipse of the Heart or some other trash) because I cannot believe people actually have love for that era of the Mac. It definitely isn't cool.
I text Kushner and said The Devil's Blood because they are often (a little sloppily) described as the Stones combined with Jefferson Airplane.
And I know they're not quite what we're referring to here but Kyuss are fucking cool. Re-bought Blues for ther Red Sun recently and just re-calling how cool they are. Here is an anthem of cool:
"And what about the churches and all their wealth
There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

Re: Super cool bands
Yeah, I think Rumours might be the only good post-Peter album from Fleetwood Mac, though I haven't heard enough to say. But after I got Rumours (which is amazing), I picked up the self-titled one they did for Warner Bros (the one with Rhiannon on it) and it's pretty boring and terrible. I think Rumours may have been a super fluke, like The Sixth Sense was M. Night Syamalamalaman's fluke. And even then it's not cool in the same way as The Stones, it hasn't got the right attitude; that's where Peter Green's one comes in with his cool bluesy big man boys.
That Kyuss song is fucking good too, I've never really bothered checking them out before, perhaps I bloody well should.
