I'll just let you know though, I've just got off the phone and me and Jon have decided that we will put a UK thrash logo on the metalbrew flyers. So whilst your efforts are quite good, you'll never be able to offer the kind of support we will be. I mean we'll probably pull about 450+ (450 tops) this year.

Thank us later.

Do you think anyone will spot the reference in that paragraph?

I don't really read terrorizer, but any publicity for uk thrash is good news. Hell i might even buy it now.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Do you know any of the editors? Because when I first started my journalism course in Preston, they said that one it's graduates went on to edit or get a high place on terrorizer which is pretty cool - considering preston has virtually no metal within the city walls. If it had walls.

Good job altogether tho.

You rule Ian way to support the bands. :rockdevil:

With the inclusion of more thrash I may just have to start buying Terrorizer again when I am in the UK.

You'd need to be paid to sleep with Rob Halford? That's so not metal.

That's one cool thing you folk over in the UK seem to have going- there seems to be a good deal of media attention for the scene out there. Here, its pretty big, but its not gotten a ton of "official" attention so to speak. Like, it seems every UK thrash band there is has like blogs about interviews, magaizne and newspaper articles, etc about them on their pages somewhere. Boo to american music journalists for sucking.

That sucks dude!

There a pretty big underground happening in Cali right now though isn't there? (or is there?) What sort of size crowds do the gigs with 4/5 bands playing pull in?

I take it you're in Warbringer judging by your sig? :P Great band! :rockdevil:

Holy shit, Warbringer dude, stop complaining about media attention when you can actually pull enough thrashers to start a moshpit. Down here it's more a case of playing to the other bands in shitty little clubs.

There's another thing the US has. Big venues for small bands. To play to over 400 people you need to play a big arena like Pavilions (a few thousand capacity) and you need to be signed to a major to get booked.

Oh well, we can always do a co-tour in a few years. Fueled By Fire FTW.

Oh dude, not complaining one bit. As far as I can tell, the thrash scene in southern california is one of the biggest worldwide right now.
I was more meaning it like "its badass that the UK thrash scene is getting media attention". Sorry bout that.
And the aforementioned 600 or so thrashers gig was safari sams, with us, merciless death, fueled by fire, hallow's eve, and hirax.
Except by the time Hallow's Eve and Hirax played, like half of everyone was gone. It became clear that the reason people had come was to see the local bands, which I thought was kinda cool myself.

are these real thrashers or just trendsters turning up to their mates gigs wearing denim and leather?
