Just out of curiosity really.

I used to not care to much, then i tried Bare Knuckles and now i wont use anything else, hand wound and made in England they own anything else on the market (in my opinion).

Don't Bare Knuckles cost like, £115?

I use Seymour Duncan TB-6 Distortions and SH2 Jazzes in both of my guitars and I swear by them both.

I'm building a guitar just now and am considering a JB or something other than a Distortion for the bridge, just for a change.

When you say just for a change do you mean, as in changing the pickup which may mean you have a spare TB-6??

Yeah they're on the pricey side but thats what you get for superior parts, hand wound, almost custom order each time instead of a mass produced industry average pickups, but then thats just me.

I'd love to get a pair of Bare Knuckles (not sure what model though, war pig?) but i really cant afford them tbh, Seymour Duncan i find are affordable and good for the price. ATM though its just the factory pickups in my Les Paul and Jackson because i needed money etc... but they'll do for now

I may have a spare TB-6.

I'm probably going to flog my KVX10 at some point to pay for parts for this new axe. I just need to decide if I want to take switch the stock Jackson pick up back into the guitar before I put it up for sale.

I'll give you a shout if I have the pickup out of the guitar.

^^Seymour Duncans are good for the price, and if you can get hold of an early JB then it sings.

I had a Jackson which had EMG HZ's , possibly one of the worst pickups i have ever heard. Needless to say, that Jackson was sold shortly after

I used to use Maverick stock because a) i couldnt afford anything better and b) they actually sounded really really good.

but now all my guitars are pickupless.

I use a Kent Armstrong Motherbucker on one guitar. It's a fuckin' awesome pickup, very loud, very heavy, but really crisp sound at the same time.

I use EMG 81 - 85's on my other guitar. Can't knock too much, so of the best guitarists around use 'em. Personally I really like 'em, although I'm gonna swap them for some Seymour Duncan's and put them on my 3rd guitar, so I get a real broad range of sounds.

around £40-£70, but it depends what you're looking for really! if you get them on eBay from america they'll be on the low end of the price range, and these days $1 = just over 50p!!!

I use Emg 85's in the bridge and neck on most of my guitars and have one set up with HZ's. The only problem with the HZ is they have
a low output but then again Gary Holt used the them on the Tempo album so they can't be that bad.

EMG's the ones in the Zakk Wylde bullseye ....
