New UK Thrash vs Old UK Thrash
Moderators: James, Craig, Resilience Records
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the scene appears much stronger this time round. Apart from Sabbat, Onslaught and Venom there weren't many Thrash acts that were really good. Even Xentrix are/were a bit average really. This time round there are lots of very stong acts and many seem to have their own sound. Obviously they all have very similar influences but Rager don't sound like Pitiful Reign who don't sound like Headloss Cross etc. Yeah UKThrash is awesome!

..
is there anyone here who actually lissens to "the fear" or "deny reality"?
I think people tend to ignore them to much in favor of sabbat and xentrix.
Uk thrash is gona get better and bigger as long as the bands are still intrested in writing thrash. and not drifting of into other sorts of metal.

Perhaps more of a toddler? Able to walk, but falls on it's arse a lot?
Or in the case of Pitiful Reign...
Tres amusing
Well at least Pitiful Reign are professional enough to ring a promoter or venue when they cant play a show
they dont just not turn up.

You talk the talk, Martin, but you don't walk the walk ( or toddle!)
You give really good internet, and thats about it...

I wouldn't go that far. The wheel hasn't been re-invented, it's just not wearing Bermuda shorts and shouting Mosh! anymore.
It's still thrash but better thrash.
hmmm thats what i love about thrash, i love sillyness and bands who have a laugh when they play, might need to get my bermudas an airing soon

Too fucking right. I've been harping on at Lyall for ages to write a good song but he's always too busy moaning about how much work he does or some other crap. I reckon he'll be the next one to hang up his Heretic bathrobe if he keeps up with this behaviour.
Shame the band begins and ends with me. I aint hanging up any robes, Im just not writing drivel for the sake of it. Thats everyone else is doing....and thats why theyre poop.

Most of the UK bands now are in their early stages and are showing signs of potential but have a long way to go. Very few bands right now I would put up there with Amnesia, Sabbat, Onslaught, Hellbastard, Hydra Vein etc.
Some of the criticism of the UK thrash scene I have heard is that to many of the bands sound like a rip off of the bay area.

I think I can read the true meanings behind this post. If you want me to 'walk the walk' with you then I'll be more than happy. I've never been a toy-boy before....
