New Guitar

Postby Lev on Sat Jul 19, 2008 1:07 pm

Can't find that topic where I posted all the guitars I own, so a new one it is.

I'm now a member of the seven string club. And a member of the 'own more than one Schecter' club. Yes, you did the math. It's a seven string Schecter! £135 - Cheap as chips.

It looks something like...

That. All say "What a good buy! Are you going to change the pick ups? You're awesome!"

Congratulations on the purchase.

I'm not sure if any of the main UK-wide guitar chains will stock Schecters now that Sound Control are long gone. For some reason they seemed to be the only company to ever stock Schecters. The same goes for Mavericks.

I found this one place from the Schecter website, but I think they're still going through all the paper work or whatever to be the main dealer of Schecters in the UK, so it'll be a while til you can actually buy them. Annoying - all I want to do is try one out.

The Black Jack series are dead good value for money as well. Schecter are a weird company. I'm not 100 percent sure what the score is, but I think Schecter are part of a bigger company that ruin ESP out of the same factory or something.

Not a good enough guitarist to warrant needing a 7th string, but i do like the look of it.

Been looking at the second hand Ibanazesessz they have in cash for about the same, they play quite nice but are obviously entry level ones and all that.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Why not sell one of your stockpile of the EU guitar mountain and make a record with your band?

That way you'll be able to play them a bit more. You could set them all up in a row like recording the black album. Forgive me here but having 10 guitars+ and one demo ripped from a cassette player is a bit odd.

I agree. Whilst I can never see myself being in a band again, I do have an eerie vision of my in 15 years owning circa 40 guitars. Guitars give you less shit than band mates though.
