I was talking to james about fainting due to this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxKhDLaERZo
I've never fainted, even though i should have seeing as i'm obscenely skinny, but james has like 4 times.
So basically have you ever fainted, preferably with a comical consequence/loss of dignity

Re: Fainting
I fainted during a Remembrance Day parade when I was in the Air Cadets (WHEY!). I was 13 and, unbeknownst to me at the time, had advanced sclerosis of the liver. I had a cold sweat, got tunnel vision and passed out just before the minute's silence. Allegedly it was hilarious, more so when I told everyone that thought I just needed a really big dump...

Re: Fainting
I'll share my fainting occasions that I can remember...
1. fainted while standing in line at a drinks tent following an exertive Scout bike race
2. in an aircraft toilet - I think I hit my forehead or nose on the sink
3. straining on the toilet in uni halls thinking I was constipated - I actually had appendicitis. Luckily I collapsed backwards against the cistern, and did not fall forwards off the pan.
4. when I went to the uni nurse with really bad earache/general illness, she tried to do a blood test but didn't put a tourniquet thing on because my sleeve was tightly rolled up... but it didn't work, so she tried the other arm... during which I fainted for some reason. No no, not because I fear needles, but apparently taking blood can sometimes make you faint... and I was ill. Ya rly. That was probably the most pathetic one though, another nurse made me some tea and I just chilled out on a lie-down bench thing for a while then went home sheepishly.
I may have forgotten a few other occasions but I think that's it.

Yeah, I'd say "it could have been messy", except that I hadn't managed to do anything (hence the strain).

Err.. I don't think I've ever fainted, so don't... I nearly did once when I was told I had to go to hospital because I was such a weakling... I've passed out from drink before.. but no fainting, I'm a man's man..
I remember one time in Year 6 when at least 3 people fainted during a rehearsal for the school concert because it was hotter than the sun, and they literally didn't stop it.. dropping like flies yet the show must go on, absolute nazis..

Fainted at the Anthrax / Metal Church / Crimson Glory gig at Hammersmith Odeon in '87. Reason being that I had accidentally twisted my right ankle outside the venue and chipped the bone. It came up like a balloon. One minute I was headbanging to Metal Church, the next I was waking up and saying to my mate, "what are you doing here, dad?" Embarrassing!

Re: Fainting
That reminds me, my friend was headbutted by an over-excited headbanger during the Scorpions at Hammersmith, and I had to drag him all the way through the crowd to get water.
Biggest irony is that it was during the song BLACK OUT - no joke!

Re: Fainting
Okay.... i cant remember all the time i have fainted because it is a lot. The main reason is that i have a massive phobia of needles.
In year 4. Walked to the front of the class and went "i dont feel well, can i go to the toilet?" Fell fowards and smacked by head on the black board and fell to the floor. This was the first one, and i got to go home, it was ace.
There was one bad one last year in Biology. There was some woman being injected in her belly, so i just turned away from the screen for a minute (where i was sat it was away from the screen anyway so it didnt look wierd). But then i asked to go to the toilet, and my vision started going and i think i made it to about the door but then i collapsed, so everybody saw.
There was a good one in year 9, and there was no reason for it. I just dont think i was too well. Just got up out of my chair and fell quite badly.
Got a huge cut in my chin in primary school from Si. In hospital a but of blood had gone so i fainted.
After PE because it was boiling and i hadnt had enough water. That was year 11 after rugby.
Theres too many for me to actually count. But its horrible. Before it you dont know if you're going to barf or faint. But as soon as you start to get a fuzzy vision you know that its gonna be that. Its not a nice feeling at all and it hasnt happened for about a year now so that is good.

Re: Fainting
I've lost count on how many times I've fainted, I'm shit in the sun. Fainted at Donington twice, fainted whiIe I was in a queue at Alton Towers, when Matthew Blake got me in a wrestling hold, when I span on my chair too much, etc etc.
Like Dan says, it's pretty horrible. Your vision goes and you feel yourself slowly shutting down. You get to know what to expect, so it's not horrid any more. I'm at the point where if my vision goes, I just lie face down on the floor and wait 'til I wake up. First time though, you don't know what's happening, and your first thought it "...am I fucking dying wtf"

Yeah that was... Not eating anything substantial all day combined with the immense crush and brutal heat resulted in me slumping over the barrier, getting rescued by one of the 'crowd men' and..... my trousers getting pulled down by the friction of the barrier and all the retarded Anselmo fanbois trying to get as close as they could to him. They were also filming it for a DVD, I am told about 3 cameras were pointed at me... Thank god that DVD hasn't been released. I then went to the bar to get some water and did it again, taking out about 4-5 people and spilling all their beers.

Re: Fainting
i fainted a few times.... once after i fell off my bike when I was about 13, rode all the way home with a really gory elbow and hand, in the middle of summer... not good, i was talking to my mum in the kitchen while trying to clean my arm up... everything went yellow and blotchy then i woke up on the floor after what seemed like an insane dream, but only a minute later... so confusing!!!
once when i was about 6/7 I was really really really ill and had the worst headache, my mum didn't think it was that bad, but i was totally burning up so rested my head on the table which was nice and cool, closed my eyes.... bang, 5 minutes later my sisters are waking me up and i have no idea where i am, then puke up everywhere!
i tihnk i blacked out from heat at a MUSE gig... while Elbow were playing....
I'd eaten nothing since breakfast, and had only drank a few bottles of beer.... had been queing for hours in the freezing cold to be at the front, but for some reason i didnt take my hoody off when i went inside... bad idea, I didn't realise how how it was and everything went mental (funny colours, confusion, disorientation, etc) for Elbows set... they were shit btw....
i KO'd myself once... got out of the bath and fell over backwards when i was putting some shorts on, smacked the back of my head on the corner of a radiator... woke up bleeding on the floor and went to talk to my mum, showed her my hand which i'd just touched to back fo my head with and said "i don't feel too good, my head feels funny" LOL
never a good feeling waking up from falling unconcious... just such confusion, no idea where you are or anything
