but that recording didn't cost us any money to make, and we aren't even selling it on cd, so it helps us to share it!!!

I think very important is the fact that you posted your OWN stuff, but all signs on earth and sky says that Nekrokannibal is not Gary Holt. The most sad thing, when it comes to up/ dl is the fact that people over the net ‘promote’ music, doing it most often without permission of authors.

And about costs. Maybe you didn’t pay a pound for making your demo, but it cost your band lot of work and time anyway and the biggest problem is that lot of people think that it’s senseless to pay 15 or 20 $ for 30 or 50 minutes of music, but they don’t notice the fact that these 30 or 50 minutes of music, which they just download for 15 or 30 minutes are a result of much longer work of a band.

exactly!

It isn't just about money, it's the effort thats been put in thats truly being de-valued, these guys are working their asses off to write and record (and working to pay for it all too), then the albums are just downloaded as mp3s without the band even recieving any thanks or anything, which is pretty much what buying a cd does...

Haha hope that made some sense :P
