I think he's missed the point of the speech. It was a speech to show Europe that Obama is a nice guy. It was not meant for domestic consumption (few US networks covered the speech in full). The democrat machine used the footage to show Obama has world experience which was a major criticism from the right wing networks. The content was irrelevant tbh.

As for the socialism conspiracy subtext he extracted. He's fooling himself if he thinks Obama is a socialist.

As for the New World Order subtext he extracted. If there were to be a new world order it would have nothing to do with politics.

Yeah, this seems to be right.

To be perfectly blunt, most of it was typical washy, liberal-political bullshit. Obama's not seriously adovcating a re-distribution of wealth. If anything, he's talking about reasonable trade and moderate aid. The 'one world' talk is not about a genuine organisation (well, not like a conspiratorail equivalent/interpretation of the Bilderburg Group) but about how all countries act in ways that have consequences for everyone, so we need to show consideration and act cooperatively. If anything, this speech merely shows how 'radical' politicians can sound out of power and how they dry up once they get there.

Aye. I think I've said this before but I sit with Chomsky on conspiracies - there is enough shit going on that we do know about and have evidence for; it makes more sense to focus on these matters. These conspiracy issues just cloud matters.

Thing with Barack is he talked shit about guantanamo (surely not that difficult), he talked shit about the environment (no commitment) and he talked shit on public healthcare. His halo is getting very dull very quick.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"
