I don't get how something original can be conventional

For god's sake! All I meant is that you can be original without having a strange/weird sounding voice - I know that's not what I called the thread, but that's what I meant. Anyway there is no point discussing it further.

Re: Unique Vocalists
This thread, as with the Musicianship thread, is tainted by the fact that none of you like Def Leppard.

Don't be a silly sailor.
I actually had a dream last night that I was in a band that covered Armageddon It. It was very pleasant. Hence the reason I've listened to Hysteria thrice today.

You're supposed to put albums and song names in italics. Only amateurs do it with quotation marks. I also do it when I need to put stress on a word in a sentence, for example:
'I'm not going italic mad; you're going italic... sane?'
'I'm not going italic mad; you're going italic... sane?'

Amateurs do it with quotation marks, freaks use italics, normally people just say Armageddon It.

You should have used italics there instead of capitals.

Actually, you're supposed to write song titles in quotation marks and album titles in italics, from what I remember at university... it could be the other way round though, I can't remember. But basically, one's in italics and one's in quotation marks. And that's a real university rule.

Re: Unique Vocalists
I never had to reference songs at University. I used to go with quotes in quotation marks (WHEY!) and articles, books and publications in italics:
As John Stuart Mill stated in his seminal publication I Am A Dead Fag, 'Yes, I am a dead fag' (Mill, 1880: 200).

Re: Unique Vocalists
the quotation marks you've used are ambiguous and could just as easily be apostrophes
