I know we had a does anyone read thread but people post paritcularly enjoyable reads here. Or especially shit ones:
Kurt Vonnegut - Cat's Cradle.
Took less than two days and is really short and easy to read. Thought-provoking and very entertaining. The narrator is about to write a book on the atom bomb and one of the scientists involved in its creation. This leads him to discover the religion of Bokononism and meet various interesting people. And all this before ice-nine ruins EVERYTHING Great stuff.
Read any good books lately

I finished 'Cell' by Stephen King the other night. It took me ages, because I started reading it while I was meant to be catching up on the reading that I hadn't done for Uni. The first half of the book is really good and it's got a really cool apocalyptic feel to it. Halfway through it goes really supernatural and I didn't think the ending was amazing, it was still pretty good though, as always in most King books you end up caring about the characters and I was heartbroken when one of the best ones died.
I went in Waterstones the other day hoping to pick up something to read, but the prices are really shit. I might check out Amazon used and new in a bit. Any recommendations? I'm mainly into Horror.

Lovecraft is the only thing that springs to mind, Horror has never been my thing. Though Dreams In The Witchhouse is amazing.
Ok..... major deja vu.

No.. is the answer to that. I'm gonna read Catch 22 when I get home though. I've read the first couple of chapters and it's pretty funny and well written. Apparantley it gets pretty br00tal later on.
I read crime and punishment not long ago. That blew my head off.

I have read the Lemmy autobiography and a damn fine read it is! I am currently reading Fred Dibnahs biography, and have read recently again "the haunting of toby jugg" by Dennis Wheatley, which is a really fine and unique book!!! I do love Wheatley, and not just his Black Magic books, in fact the historical Roger Brook and Gregory Sallust series are brilliant!!! Real events portrayed first hand by fictional characters. Excellent. Has anyone else read any wheatley??

Crime and Punishment?
Grim Russian Mentalist, who murders a woman and spends most of the book trying not to get found out. Pretty much. It's deep though.

Catch 22 is great. I wouldnt say it gets really brutal but one point especially comes to mind. It is very funny, though.
I haven't even heard of Wheatley? What sort of stuff is it?
