Speed Kills... Again.

Postby Darkweasel on Fri Jun 15, 2007 10:25 am

Anyone remember the Speed Kills compilation albums from the 80's? I bought the first one back in 1985 and it introduced me to the likes of Celtic Frost, Possessed etc.
Well, now it's back.

Inspired by the legendary 1980s compilation series which showcased some of the era's heaviest hitters such as METALLICA, VENOM, SLAYER, CELTIC FROST, POSSESSED etc., "Speed Kills… Again" stands as a tribute to the past as well as a testament to the return of true heavy metal and thrash that is currently exploding worldwide.

According to a press release, "Speed Kills… Again" offers up twelve tracks of 100 percent old-school metal from six of the foremost up and coming purveyors of thrash worldwide, including Los Angeles-based MERCILESS DEATH, Italian thrashers HATRED, Las Vegas head bangers AVENGER OF BLOOD, Sweden's speed metal kings ENFORCER, Massachusetts-based thrash torchbearers TOXIC HOLOCAUST and Los Angeles shredders WARBRINGER. Record collectors will also be happy to know that "Speed Kills… Again" will be getting the deluxe vinyl treatment, which includes a bonus vinyl seven-inch featuring three exclusive tracks not available on the CD. Limited to 500 copies altogether, the first 200 copies will also be numbered, on colored vinyl and include a promotional pin set.

I think it is Heavy Artillery, the one Merciless Death are signed to.

I think Enforcer are the coolest band on there!

Yes, their mix of NWOBHM and Exciter is rather good. Heavy Artillery will be releasing their album too! Woo!
