videogame comp/bonestorm 2 then british steel gig?

Postby radioactive rik on Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:49 pm

seeing how many of you are going to british steel fest AND its on a saturday i just wondered whod be up for a possible multiplayer gaming comp beforehand?if i can sort a place(feel free to give me suggestions?)
if someone has one of those ps1 portable monitors let me know as then we could hold it anywhere.
i was thinking crash team racing(possibly)as its 4player and a few of you are familiar with it.and for those who havent played it,can be put in a seperate league.basicly its mario kart for ps1.
i could still bring streetfighter 2 (on ps1) if anyone wants a grudge match :D

anyway,input please...

thanks

Shut up Lev.

Count me in Rik! Only thing is it would depend how many of the bands people want to see at British Steel, because the first band is at 5pm. I don't really mind if the gaming over-runs though, especially if CTR is involved, as it is one of few games I have any familiarity with! I'd really like to do more forum meet-ups in 2009, so well done for getting the ball rolling...

Yeah cool, although 4 hours won't be as long as it sounds including people getting there and setting up etc. But 12 is probably a realistic time to start to allow people to travel in.

how about scrap the gaming idea and we all chip in £5,go to a supermarket and buy shitloads of crisps/doughnuts/chocolate etc and have a "dude food" eating/drinking contest?
for example:2 mins to scoff as many pack of crisps or who can guzzle a can of beer the fastest etc.
itd have to be held outdoors for obvious reasons.
it would be so funny watching people get drunk fast, feel sick on tube/at gig etc.
itl be just like on those american eating championship style documentaries.
we could film some of it for youtube.
its cheap, simple and could be highly entertaining.

good idea?... or "recipe" for disaster.

That's the most hilariously stupid idea ever! I can't stop laughing, the idea that in your mind that is actually a reasonably valid alternative plan

But maybe you should bring along a dude food platter for yourself just so we can witness the master devourer at work.

itd be a wicked time for all.its not necessarily the "well built" people who will win.some on the skinnier among us could be dark horses.
its always some 9stone jap who ends up beating the 50stone american at eating hotdogs/burgers.

i think this would be highly entertaining even if its only 3-5people.
whos up for it?

 That's the best idea I've ever heard!

I'm certainly up for a nice meet up before the British Steel gig, we should all just get some booze and listen to Cloven Hoof somewhere. A fantastic time would be had by all I'm sure.
