I've played there a couple of times. We lost the battle of the bands there because the judges were 60's music fucking mongs, even though we had the biggest crowd reaction and our songs actually consisted of more than just 3 chords unlike the other shite bands we were competing againts...

Yeah, my thoughts exactly!

I'm not usually up my own arse about stuff like this, but we REALLY deserved to win!!! The other bands were fucking horribly shite pop punk bands doing 3 chord songs. One band even had a song called, "Don't Hassle the Hoff"... How did we lose against that! Hahaha! :dance:

I totally understand what you mean though, it's often not the best band that wins these things, but the most popular, specially when the crowd's judging.

This one is piss poor quality because it's actually a photo of a photo (I hadn't got a decent camera phone then).
It's backstage at The Electric Ballroom in '05. I'm on the far left and that's some german chap from Kreator in the hat, holding a cd player and a pack of salmon sandwiches.

This one of me and Karl Sanders of Nile is a bit better but not by much.

Here's a decent(ish) one of me looking grumpy. Don't know why. Liverpool had probably lost again.
