Somebody on another forum I go on posted this. Anyone know anything about it?
The Black Crusade Ft. Machine Head + Trivium + Dragonforce + Arch Enemy

The Black Crusade hits Carling Academy Brixton with a gruelling line up of some of the heaviest bands around joining forces and tearing up the stage.
Tickets available online @ TicketWeb
TICKETS ON GENERAL SALE MONDAY 11TH JUNE AT 9AM
Ok, stop sniggering at Trivium but any show with AE, Dragonforce (Sod off, I like 'em) and Mushy Ned on the same bill is worth investigating in my book.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Machine Head release one of the best metal albums in years and nobody likes them?
Arch Enemy have Mike Amott riffs coming out of their ears and nobody likes them?
Dragonforce play faster than most thrash bands and nobody likes them?
Triv... well, ok.
Yowzer. Tough crowd.

23 years I've been listening to metal. Haven't had that said to me in quite a while, I can tell you.

Looks like I'll be the only one going to this then.
Machine Head are always phenomenal live, even when their studio output was shit. That's actually the one band out of all of them I'm surprised nobody here seems to like. Along with Pantera, they breathed new life into a dying genre and released one of the heaviest albums of the 90's.
I can see why a lot of you don't like Dragonforce (I'm a big traditional power metal fan aswell so they're right up my Manowar shaped alley).
Arch Enemy aren't thrash per se, but they do seem to have more in common with that style than they have with Death Metal.
Obviously the merest mention of Trivial on here was going to meet with derisory laughter so I'm not too shocked. However, I will say this. Listen to The Crusade and pretend it's the album Metallica recorded instead of St Anger. It makes it a whole lot more tolerable.
Oh well, thread over. Bye bye.

Apart from Trivium, looks good to me. Arch Enemy might FUCKING SUCK on CD but they're normally alright live. Dragonforce and Machine Head is worth it anyway though.
