Oh my god! You've just reminded me of why i love Annihilator so much! I love most of their albums, apart from Metal and Remains (I actually like Schizo Delux as it was one of my first ever albums that id bought).
Shallow Grave is honestly one of the coolest songs ever. Waking The Fury and Carnival Diablos are must have albums.
First thrash band i ever listened too and they pretty much changed my musical tastes completely. Never, Neverland is also amazing. Stonewall is my favourite from that album.
Ahhh did anybody see them in 2006? I was so fucking excited hahaha. It was a very short setlist but i enjoyed every second of it.

This song alone makes Never, Never Land the best Annihilator album.
Cupboard's bare, I'm so hungry
Life ain't fair, gimme some money
Macaroni maniac, a cheddar cheese heart attack
I love, I love, I love, I love:
KRAF DINNER
Boiling water, I can't wait
It's getting hotter, it feels so great
Macaroni maniac, a cheddar cheese heart attack
Well that was fun, but now I'm all done
Now sedate, I think I'll buy a crate
Macaroni maniac, a cheddar cheese heart attack
Kraf Dinner

My Dinner
I want it now

Yes, Annihilator are wicked, well the first two albums are great to my ears. Such fantastic songwriting and playing. Very original sound on some tracks also.
The biggest problem I have with the band really are the lyrics and vocals, not amazingly inspired.

I think as a whole they're pretty hit n miss.
Some absolutely storming tracks, and some tracks that just make you want to put your head in an unflushed toilet bowl.

Yeah, Never Never Land is very good indeed, but yeah, they get a bit bland after that.

I always digging those obscure bands,
so sometimes those well known bands I will delay to get their albums,
cos' my money always spends on obscure, lesser known crap, haa
[like I JUST get all Forbidden albums recently, when I used to have a long time having their debut only]

Re: Never, Neverland!
My problem with Annihilator is that they only have the odd song thats any good after Set the World On Fire. That was their last truely great record, Metal was St. Anger levels of gant.

Re: Never, Neverland!
Never, Neverland is a great album. I always though it was interesting that "Phantasmagoria" didn't make it on to the debut, even though it was one of their first songs. They put it on the second instead.
Early Annihilator rules, but they've been way too patchy the last 10 years or so.

Phantasmagoria has a great chorus. I think its cool that they left it for the second album. Its nice to see some bands using older songs later on in their career, like Morbid Angel do.
