Welcome to UK Thrash!

Corey taylor to record with anthrax!!

Talk about all thrash metal.

Moderators: James, Craig, Resilience Records

I didn't mind Bush, but he wasn't a patch on Belladonna, which was shown EXTREMELY CLEARLY on "The Greater of Two Evils"... it should have been called "Why Joey was better than John" frankly..

Even an "Anthrax fanboi" like myself can see that album was a disaster. The idea was good (and it showed a band that actually listen to their fans) but the excecution was dreadful. Playing it live in the studio "for that live performance sound" was a thinly veiled cover for "Er... guys, we're not going to spend a lot of money on this are we"?

The only Anthrax album I own but never listen to.

Gah, me too!

Yeh I'm pretty sure Corey Taylor won't be doing any vocals on the new album thank god, but frankly they are in a right mess at the moment and someone needs to come in and stand on Scott Ian's big stupid bald head. Like a vocalist that can actually win the band back from him and Charlie and make it more of an upward unit...

Didn't think much of WCFYA... Safe Home? Fuck off.

Safe Home was on of the three worst songs on the album.

What I didn't get about The Greater of Two Evils is that it came out how long before they dumped Bush in favour of Belladonna? Re-doing old songs like that kind of suggests to me that that sound is here to stay.

Hmm. I dunno about that one, after all, the songs were hand picked by Anthrax fans off the official forum I think.

New rumors circulate on who the new vocalist will be, claiming that either Phil Anselmo of Pantera fame, Schmier of Destruction, or Steve Souza of Exodus fame would join the band. Recently both Schmier and Souza have denied these statements, however the rumor involving Phil Anselmo is still open..

Souza with Anthrax would frankly be awesome. Bringing Phil Anselmo in e'd be the final nail in the coffin, unless there was a dramatic change around with his vocals and he started singing like he used to do when he first joined Pantera...

Yes exactly.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

And the Anthrax forum (may it rest in peace) was one of the most perversely cliquey forums I've ever visited.

anthrax should just give up now before the release something really awful. e.g metallica - st.anger

even the thought of gettin corey taylor to sing means theyre heading in an even worse direction then metallica did

Yes,but surely the idea was "vote for the old songs that you want us to rerecord with John Bush" which people did,not knowing that the bit they missed off the end was "before we quickly get shot of him in order to make a quick few quid"

Why is it that if for instance Darkthrone release summat awful sounding it gets praised and when Metallica do it then it get's slated? St.Anger was the shit, a total fuckin' racket. Best one yet.

ahem....surely you meant to write "St. Anger was shit, a total fuckin' disgrace, best to retire"

Anthrax need to get themselves some unknown Scandinavian bird as singer. Or....John Connelly (he used be in Anthrax-in their "formative" years--fact fans!)

Indian head dresses rule :(

Joey is still my favourite Antharx vocalist but Turbin was wicked, Fistful of metal is one of my favourite albums, but I'd have to say I do like Among the Living more.
