Hey bro,
There's a few metal places you can drink in London.
General Camden area:
- The Hobgoblin; used to be called the Devonshire Arms and used to be a Goth pub that denied access to people in football colours, ha ha. Nowadays, it plays music across the metal genre, has monthly extreme nights but I can't tell you what day because I don't know to be honest!
- Purple Turtle; Regular shows at this music venue, lots of thrash nights and extreme nights.
- The Unicorn; Upcoming FREE music venue in Camden, generally live shows, and alternative music, recently under new ownership and going in the right place.
- The Gaff; Great bar in Holloway Road, short bus away from Camden, lots of gigs, and a place you can drink even when there isn't a band playing (not just a venue) plays a good mix of metal/punk/etc
Central London:
- the Intrepid Fox; You must know this place..? It's by Tottenham Court Road; A pub with 2 levels, I can't honestly remember what it's like in terms of music as I don't really go there, but it's based in London and is quite cool.
- Garlic and Shots; near Soho, great place to start a night and get leathered with AWESOME shots!
I don't really know a lot about South London but the ones I do know are:
The Fighting Cocks; cool little bar in Kingston, last time I went there were lots of hot ladies.. ha ha
For information about gigs, definetly check out our very own Dazza's " New Metal Army"
Also there's a great music gig guide called .. .'Extreme London Metal Militia' based on Myspace, between those two you won't miss a gig!
I hope that's helped! The information might not be entirely accurate and I've probably missed out on some but I'm doing this as quickly as I can, ha ha.
