Best graphic novel in the scene by a long shot, in the top 50 of time magazines best books of all time. Best tenner you could spend on a book and will take aaaages to read.

Has to be done so carefully, the story is the most central aspect of the thing. As i said previously, it should have been a mini series with each episode being the length of a movie.

I do have a reasonable amount of hope for this one, not watched the trailer yet though.

Yeah, it's like you want to see it but don't want to see it ruined, it's a fine tightrope.

Same director as 300 though and that was pretty true to form, trailer even has the frame captures in straight from the book, will be 2 1/2 hours long but the DVD is hoping to be 3 hours and will include the 'pirate' tale. Cinema version will just be the summer friendly blockbuster to get the cash.

300 had pointless extra creatures, and goat-boy amputee orgies?

But you summed it up perfectly, i really want it to be good.

The only thing that i want more and it to be done PERFECT is the Dark Tower movie.
