Opening Night for new, FREE, monthly Prog night in Camden.

Featuring legendary 70's hard-rockers Leafhound, playing a selection of new and old hits. Prince of Pratts (featuring myself and Steve from Doctor Death, and Metalbrew Stu on vocals) will be opening, bringing the canterbury/space vibes, tea drinking and general pompous merriment.

Mind Zap Lightshow will be keeping us all entertained with psychedelia and The Unicorn will be providing comfortable atmosphere and cheap beer.

Will also have a spot on play list for between and after bands...

Freakout at The Unicorn!
We have just been given a monthly residency, in Camden's most up and coming venue, The Unicorn ( http://www.myspace.com/theunicorncamdenlive ). Freakout is the first saturday of the month (starting from Jan 2010), and is going to be a "proper" Prog Rock happening! Everything from Canterbury scene, Space Rock, Acid Folk, Heavy Blues, Hard Rock, the lot! and we'll be covering not only the classic bands but showcasing the new talent in a once again flourishing scene! The Unicron will be totally transformed once a month in to a complete 70s acid flashback, come in and wig out!
Free Enrty, Live Bands, Light show, smoke machines, space jams go on till late...

Twas verily an enjoyable journey through the sonic cosmos. Everyone I spoke to was impressed and had their expectations exceeded. Pratts was a wierd mix of Gong, Hawkwind and the Canterbury scene I'd say - which is precisely what they wanted to achieve. Bizarre but brilliant stuff.

I forget how good Leafhound are sometimes. Great collection of riffs and songs. A class act.
