Bit of a generalised sweeping statement there mate!! How miuch have you ever really listened too?? Some BM is shit, but some is amongst the best music ever written!! The first 3 Burzum releases are works of (twisted) genius for example, as is the debut from mayhem, and as are some releases from bands like Dissection, Dark throne, Masters hammer, Adorior, lux occulta and many others. I do find a lot of the more mainstream "commercial" black metal very boring though, but there is so much diversion within the genre.

I can't listen to Black Metal anymore because they all look so fucking stupid...

Then again, I saw Immortal live ages ago, which was pretty cool.

What makes me laugh is they try to look all evil and scary looking, but when they've got fuck all clothes on, like the picture above, they look like fucking pussies!
