The awesome lich king have recorded a killer version of Slayers aggressive perfector which is now up on myspace along with another totally awesome new song (waste). How people can still slag this band off is beyond me, they are just amazing!!!!

The slayer cover was recorded after a conversation me and tom had about doing a 7", which may still happen, i am unsure yet, but if it does, i will let you all know

I think the problem is that, as it says on their myspaz page

"The songs sound like something to have come straight out of the outakes from the 'bonded by blood' sessions by exodus"

I mean i don't expect them to reinvent the wheel, but it's like, ok you paul balloff, what now?

I also have a personal distaste for the overuse of leaking barrells of toxic waste. I know the idea is cool, but when everyone and their mum is doing the same thing it gets dull.

Althought hat being said the song black metal sucks is pretty funny " i hope you get hit by a bus" amen

You're definitely right on about the barrels... I was making that image last year around this time and it hadn't occurred to me just how overused a lot of thrash's imagery is. The next album's going to cut back on the nuclear pizza apocalypse sharks and run to more original conceptual stuff.

As for sounding like Exodus or at least as close as we do, there aren't apologies... it's just the way it is.

did you even see the album name?? I'm pretty sure those barrels aren't on there to make it look more thrash... more of a knowing thrashism, a critique if you will
