These days I only really put on Reign in Blood if I'm in the mood for doing some spastic air drumming or Divine Intervention if there's nowt else that takes my fancy in my pathetic CD collection, but I've gone off them quite a lot. I'd probably go and see them live if I had the chance again.

You don't mean' A Matter of Life and Death' do you!
It's an iconic masterpiece!
Makes you want to wave a union jack with tears running down ya face!

I think that everything from 'No Prayer' to the end of the 'Blaze era' lacked depth and soul a bit though, agreed.

In my opinion, with the exception of Brave New World (now that was a masterpiece!), they haven't released a consistently brilliant album since Seventh Son. A Matter of Life and Death had some good bits here and there (The Pilgrim and The Legacy are fantastic songs), but overall it was lazy and uninspired (I've gone into this heavily in another thread already though so I won't go any more into it now!). But I will say this: it certainly does not make me want to wave a union jack about anywhere. Especially These Colours Don't Run, which only makes me want to press the skip button.

Yes, a little bit, obviously.
Anyone who thinks thier latest album is shit... well, I can't understand it.
Only working class boys really get the Maiden thing, 'cos that's where Steve Harris is coming from.
