Mobile Phones

I am just coming to the end of my 18 month contract with O2, and decided to have a look to see if i could get a cheaper deal, so after speaking to the staff in the O2 shop, asking what i could get for £20 a month, i was not to chuffed to be told 50 mins (yes 50) and 300 texts. I there fore opted to go with the offer in the new 3 shop, who offered me for the same price, 500 mins and 200 texts. Once signed for, i contacted o2 for my pac code, and amazingly, they could offer me the same deal for the same price!!!!
However, as i had already signed with 3, i decided to stay with them. First day i have tried to use it today, and it has no coverage in my area (work that is), so i have had to go to them and cancel, however, when i rang O2 back, they upgraded my phone, and gave me an option of 300 mins and 300 texts for £15 for 12 month contract. WINNER!!!! :D

the morale of this tale is, even if you arent planning to leave your network, make them think you are and get free stuff for nowt, that costs you nothing.

I was such a good O2 Online customer that they gave me a new phone, 100 any-time minutes and 500 texts per month for £15. Why I gave that contract up I do not know, possibly because I avoid using my mobile as much as possible...

On the subject of mobiles, what do people think of the Samsung U600 if they've got one? I've just upgraded with Orange and gone for the U600, but a few reviews have said that the touch-sensitive buttons are a pain in the arse. I've got 7 days to change if I don't like it (it's being delivered tomorrow) but just wanted to get a few opinions.

Mobile phones are bollocks. I've got one of them old Nokia ones and everyone just laughs at me.

I agree. I just have a basic nokia phone that I hardly ever use. Poor reception and overpriced call tarrifs for the lose. Give me a good old fashioned landline any day!

I've heard that too. A lass at work has one, ended up ringing her sister-in-law without realising it, whilst she was having a bitching session about her. sister-in-law heard everything and ended up hunting her down, slitting her throat and burying the body in a shallow grave. Actually the last bit is a lie, but you get my drift. I've got a D900 which is the best phone I've ever had.

I have a nokia, not really an old one but it's still built like a tank, i've dropped it so many times onto the harsh, unyielding land, and it's still fine.
