Send a link to this thread to the editor of zero tolerance magazine, and if he isnt a dick too, he should be happy to publish your stuff instead.

Re: On the horns of a dilemma
While Terrorizer is so far up it's own arse you need to go pot holing to read it, it is still far better then Metal Hammer. Black metal is leaning towards cross over with Doom and thrash is 'back' (well almost). As black metal softens/darkens (ala Satyricon) I think Terrorizer will look to thrash (and death metal) to keep up the speed side of things up. So in a year or two the magazine could be more thrash friendly.
Having said that a friend of mine was a writer for Edge magazine and an editor change killed his enthusiasm for the magazine. The reality is that the money is shit, the conditions are precarious at best and the perks while nice are fleeting.
Good luck with the new editor.

Re: On the horns of a dilemma
The bottom line is the magazine has gone downhill since Stannard and his cronies took over with inane reviews and half assed journalism being the order of the day particularly in the live reviews section. It's just nowhere near as good as when Jonathan Selzer was thee ed and quite frankly i don't think it ever will be as good again so Ian mate, i think you should cut your losses and go hook up with Jonathan at Metal Hammer.
Yeah i know MH isn't regarded as 'extreme' but the Subterranea section in the back is quite good and gives a fair amount of coverage to a wide range of stuff including thrash and doesn't try to degrade it in any way unlike Terrorizer where thrash-bashing seems to be the flavour of the month...

QFT.
I have every single issue of Terrorizer, and I'll still keep buying it,because, well,it's three odd quid once a month, and there is still the odd thing in there that I want to read, but it is nowhere near as good as it used to be.
Tbh the reason I used to buy it was for the news/gig guide section, and the reviews, but now I'm on the internet, they are way out of date by the time I read them.

Re: On the horns of a dilemma
I'm going to start carrying The Office theme tune around on a dictaphone or something so I can say something deep and David Brent-esque followed by the music. That would be sweet, I'd do it all the time.

Typical, my very future hangs in the balance and all you can do is make light-hearted banter!
As an update of sorts, I've emailed The Editor twice more and had no reply. He may be on holiday of course...

Or he may be inviting people into his office to laugh along with him as he reads your e-mails aloud in a funny voice.

If I came back from holiday and had a shit load of e-mails from some whiney bitch, I'd fire them. They wouldn't have a chance to leave.

I wouldn't worry. The chances of you getting even one email from anyone connected with the music press are fuck all.
