I think Vader are boring as shit. I saw them live a few years back and all of the songs blended together and sounded the same. I was just bored.
Saying that, Rain Forever World is a fucking awesome song, but one of the only ones that's any good.

Check out the last Vomitory album ''Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize'' really quality stuff. Very consistent band imo.

Necrophagist - Both Albums, mostly technical though
Unleashed - last two albums (fucking awesome)
Vital Remains - Icon of Evil
Dismember - Dismember (less Iron Maiden, more Entombed)
Blood Red Throne - Come Death...

not sure how brutal these bands are though...

Atheist, Cynic, Death, Obituary... And id say when Barney joined Napalm Death, they were mainly death metal. Get Harmony Corruption, onne bloody amazing album!

i think terrorizers looking for modern bands rather than classic bands he's obviously heard of/listened to.
