Leaked SOLOMAN KANE movie trailer
Filmed directly from the screen of Comic Com - the eagerly anticipated Soloman Kane movie trailer.
I am a big fan of the original RE Howard stories, so I have been looking forward to this one - much more than the Conan remake anyhow. On first viewing, even with the dodgy camerawork and sound, this one looks like it is going to be a big hit.

Hey, just got back from seeing MOON at the cinema. It was really good, well worth seeing! Probably just as good on DVD at home though...

I was naughty and downloaded a copy of District 9. Its hands down the best movie I have saw this year.
Soloman Kane looks epic plus it has Pete Posthalwaite (sp?)in it, so you know it'll be epic.

Soloman Kane looks like it could shape up to be a good movie hopefully it doesn't move to far away from Robert E Howad original stories.

GROTESQUE
"I'm going to make a clean cut and pull out your rectum".
You can't really argue with a line like that can you.
Banned recently by the BBFC, there's not a chance in Hell this film (courtesy of, yet again, our Asian friends) will ever get released in this country. For all the films before it which have been labelled "Torture Porn", this is the first one I've seen which truly warrants that title.
Where do you start? Seriously?
The eye gouging? The rectum removal? The willy lopping? The nails through bollocks? The nipple snip? The torture wank? The torture squirt? The chainsawed fingers?
No. Let's start at the end with a flying, decapitated head biting off a chunk of bad guy's neck.
A horrendously over the top film with no value to it whatsoever. Yet as fucked up, twisted and sick as it was I still couldn't take it even remotely seriously during any part because of the hilariously loud and squelchy sound effects. It was the horror film equivalent of 70s kung fu movies, sounding like someone trudging loudly through a boggy marsh for just over an hour.
Awful, vile, funny, ridiculous and shit in equal measures.
4/10.

Hadn't heard of Grotesque. Not overly tempted.
District 9 looks really cool. Saw the trailer a little while back and yes. Yes, indeed.
Saw Orphan much better than expected. Definitely worth seeing. Was thinking it would be quite dire but it was tense and far from ridiculous. Although, I wonder the necessity of the opening scene (it did have the benefit of making the film start tense).
Watched There will be Blood yesterday. Very good. Quite unusual. Lacking much in the way of morality and not really an ounce of feel-good in it.
Watched The Watchmen a short while back. Not blown away but good. I accept that the graphic novel would be hard to loyally translate into a film but then you have to ask the question 'Why bother?' Watched it with a man who hadn't read it and he found it a little bit hard to follow. I could understand why, the evolution of the group and the character's relationships were quite glossed over. Thought the soundtrack was good, though.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts

This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

Here's a trailer for Avatar, goodness me! It looks rather good indeed, although I'm more excited about District 9 and The Road.

There Will Be Blood is amazing Caps, it's as you say an unusual film, but on the second watch it's even more compelling, and you're drawn into Daniel Day-Lewis' character even more. His performance is what makes that film I think, and every film that he's in. You just can't take your eyes off him when he's on screen!
Watchmen is another film that gets much better with multiple viewings. After the first watch I was like, "What the bloody hell? That was good, but what the goodness me?" Although there was something about it that got me excited. So I bought it, watched it two more times, and now I think it's the best thing ever. Well, one of the many best things ever, anyway.

There have been preview screenings of clips of Avatar in IMAX today and people are saying it looks a lot better than the trailer
