Reading on the bog.

Postby Kilgore~Let 'Em Burn on Fri May 08, 2009 11:06 am

We all know that there's nothing like a good book or mag to peruse whilst you're laying a cleveland steamer so what's everyone's current lavatorial companion?

At the moment i have 'The Rise And Fall Of ECW' on the go.

Nice.

I've gone as far as to bring my laptop into the toilet on most occasions. You can watch a film, go on the internet, look at porn...

Otherwise, I've just started reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac, which is nice.

I've never tried reading on the toilet, I'm just never in there long enough.

I may give it a try later though, I'm reading through ''When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?'' by George Carlin again, so that'll be very nice.

This morning I watched about half an hour of Aliens. I wasn't doing a poo for the whole half hour, but the action was so riveting I couldn't get off the toilet.

I don't take in anything too taxing, I prefer things with lots of pictures, such as my books of WWI and WWII propaganda cartoons. Zines are also quite good because they are easy to read snippets of - like Rik I don't really spend longer in there than I need to.

I am currently reading the biography of Alistair Cooke (Letters from America fame) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alistair_Cooke.

I always read on the toilet until my feet go numb, Then I know I am done. I find it hard to do a number two now without a book which can be quite awkward.

Reading on the toilet is what all men of calibre do.

dont your parents ever get suspicious when you take a laptop to the bathroom?
or when you come out of the bathroom with the laptop under your arm?

Do you think it is an exclusively male phenomenon?
