pedro used to run a percussion thing at my secondary school in hereford that all the kids who played drums went too. we played at the shire hall and the cathedral. i stopped going when i realised i cudnt play drums

As it happens I remembered today when I was at a local Diamond Head gig and I wore my patch jacket - I was having a urinate at a urinal and an old rocker came in and said "oh wow, you dont see many vests like that any more!" I muttered some reply, but was kicking myself today that I didn't drop the "you can still find 'em" line.

Incidentally, the old rocker took to the stage later that night - he was the Diamond Head lead guitarist!!

Haha yeah!

That would be mental though, living through all those decades watching rock and roll get heavier and progress into metal (and actually being aware of it!), and then metal is actually what you want to listen to!

yeah ive had that locally in pubs,at work,from my mates dad and from my uncle,with my motorhead tattoo/shirts.
theyre like "motorhead were a bit before your time/around before you were born etc" i always reply calmly and smugly,well i just got their most recent album and they just played/toured wherever,so......

Haha, yeah, I love that. Old people think they're great, telling us bands like Maiden and Priest are 'before' our time, yet they have no idea what these bands are doing now, and we very well do. Great.
