The first one is the best metal debut ever - IMO! But after "The Dark" they lost direction..

Fucking love 'em.
I've been listening to their debut, The Dark, The Human Factor, Blessing in Disguise and Hanging in the Balance at various points this week.
HITB is a fantastic album which only suffers from one of the worst cover art disasters the metal world has ever witnessed.

Yes yes, we all know how good MC are. Why are they in the Thrash section because they're not Thrash.

Got to say, The Human Factor is easily my favourite album by them. The Dark is right up there with it though.

I sold Hanging in the Balance and the Live album to Craig. Not that I didn't like them but was having a clear out and didn't play them much. I do think they're pretty good actually.

i agree about the first two being their best work, but they were infinately better live than on vinyl.

Yeh, I wasnt sure were to put it, but I reckon they do have a fair share of thrashy riffs, especially on the first album, for example the song ''Merciless Onslaught''.
