Yeah, I've never really understood it. You just quote the last guy that said something on topic and keep it going.

I only disliked Iains post when he went through that phase of not being remotely funny to laugh at/with.

If everyone's ignoring him anyway, why is he still here?

I still think it'd be a shame if he left.

He's still here because I reply to his posts. I'm his only friend on the world wide web.

Why should everyone have to allow someone else free rein to derail thread after thread. I thought this was the main conclusion of the last 'cerfuffle' - don't derail otherwise interesting threads - mess around where it's not going to ruin the forum for genuine readers, and problem solved.

Yeah but that's completely subjective. What's the definition of an 'interesting thread' and how exactly would one 'ruin' it? By going off topic? That happens all the time.

As one of the main recipients of iains bullshit, i have to say he doesnt really bother me that much. I can react or not depending on how i feel at the time. I do find it sad that he is obviously quite an intelligent bloke, and we have had some valid imput from him from time to time, and i suspect a lot of his comments are made just to try and get a reaction, although some of his viewpoints show him to genuinely have a sad and laughable side (his views on women and drinking etc).

He is annoying like a big fucking spot , but you know, i still spend time squeezing it and watching the puss and shit come out. Because maybe im a bit wierd too, but dispite the pain, its fun to try and get it to pop completely.

When I see a picture of Def Leppard on this fourm my scrollbar goes down very quickly until I can't see it anymore and I carry on reading. Simple.

Shame to associate the two together really, they were great last night.

Iain you can say what they fuck you like. And you do. It is extremely, EXTREMELY irritating when you divert a thread from sincere discussion into silly pettiness or petty silliness. This can be forgivable but it is coming to dominate almost EVERY SINGLE THREAD. I am happy to ignore you when you talk the fool because you're exhausting. It's like playing games with a two year old, who doesn't understand the repetitive and tedious nature of what is going on. However, it annoys me to see you annoy others and it really annoys me to see you throw personal insults about because, let's be honest, your confessions here - musically, personally, stylistically - make you seem like one of the most pathetic cretins ever to have been 'blessed' with internet access.

Now, for my view on the banning Iain thing - looking at it in theory. I have libertarian principles and therefore respect people's freedoms but this carries certain dangers. If I live in a house and I invite people in and we have a lot of fun doing whatever, I should be allowed. By the same token, if someone keeps running onto my patio and shitting on it for a laugh, that action would have to be acceptable - there might even be occasions where I would find it amusing too. However, if I gave that person a couple of warnings that if they played this stupid little game anymore I'd shoot them dead then I would be within my rights to do so. They can take the risk of pissing me off, and a good deal of my friends, but they're not likely to get away with doing it for long. In short, if you keep shitting on James and Craig's doorstep, I for one will shrug at your corpse and say 'what did the cunt expect'?

To be perfectly honest, this is the kind of post that encourages me. As most people are saying, ignoring me is the best way of not being annoyed by me. I stated ages ago that I was sick of bastardising this forum with irrelevant crap. I even asked to be banned because I know I have far too much free time on my hands and will inevitably drift back here to annoy people with whom I disagree on most things.

I'm sure I will find something better to do eventually but, for now at least, I quite enjoy childishly mocking things. If I get banned, I get banned. Frankly I really don't care too much either way. However, there seemed to be a certain reluctance to even enforce a temporary ban against me last time this happened. For both reasons, therefore, I fail to see why I should worry about being banned.

I'm still here because I find what I say on here hilarious. I went into the wilderness when I stopped liking Thrash Metal but have since come to value UK Thrash for the humour. Not the piss-poor 'Look at us! We're risqué because we posted a Photoshopped picture of Madeleine McCann with Lexington Steel's cock in her mouth' humour but the general South Park worship. Even although I know I'm great, however, love of Metal Iain is generally applied very inconsistently on UK Thrash. Dian Wei used to be super cool to me like two weeks ago but has since become lame.

- 'This is Richard Nixon's Enemies List!'
- 'Bar-ney Gum-ble.'

I can't believe he kept an actual list and that Paul Newman was on it.

Hilarious.
