I actually think they are fucking terrible, did cover cars though right?
If so they can't be all bad.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

It's their worst rated so it might be worth checking Demanufacture or Obsolete out.

Re: Fear Factory
A great band now a mere shadow of their former selves.
Soul of a New Machine punched me in the throat.
Demanufacture slammed me onto my arse and kicked me repeatedly in the teeth.
Obsolete dragged me back up onto my feet again before kicking me in the bollocks.
Digimortal gave me a little slap.
Archetype flicked my ear to see if I was awake.
Transgression apologised for it's friends unruly behaviour and bought me a pint for my trouble.

Re: Fear Factory
The first album I ever heared by them was some shitty re-mix album with a bunch of metal/trance fused songs. It sounded fucking wank so I didn't listen to them for ages. Then I got the album with Zero Signal from Mortal Kombat. That's a good album, but I don't like most of their other stuff.

Re: Fear Factory
One of the bands that got me into metal when I first saw Linchpin on MTV 2. I think every album up to Transgression is great, Concrete/Soul of a New Machine is still one of my favourite Death Metal albums. Been great the few times I've seen them live aswell.

Soul of a New Machine and Demanufacture are classics, really fucking good. Saw them at Donnington on the main stage, fucking excellent.

Re: Fear Factory
I think I saw FF the most out of all bands in the 90s, about six or seven times, and I met Burt and Dino twice. Nice guys.

Re: Fear Factory
Soul Of A New Machine and Demanufacture were ace and a breath of fresh air at the time and they were always heavier and more metal than all the Nu-Metal shit that was around at the same time. Obsolete was good, Digimortal was not bad. I thought that Archetype showed good promise seeing as it was Christian's first album playing guitar but Transgression...pile of poo.
Burt has all but said the band are dead now as he wants to concentrate on his Ascension Of The Watchers project. He also said that he has never really been into Metal either
Check out Divine Heresy ifyou like FF although they appear to have singist problems at the mo.

Re: Fear Factory
I was a big fan of these guys around the time of Demanufacture. It seems after that their albums got progressively worse though, to the extent where I took Digimortal back to the shop two days after buying it. I went to see them when one of their newer albums came out (Archetype maybe?) and they were still good, if a lot fatter than I remembered.
I listened to 'Soul..' the other week for some nostalgia however and I was surprised how much I didn't like it, specifically the vocals. Burton C Bell's horrid, wimpy singing on every track... uurgh. I blame this band for all the crap 'metal' you get nowdays stuffed full of clean singing - their influence is everywhere and not in a good way.
