Rik has reminded me how brilliant Pingu is. I am watching clips now and cracking up... the sounds and shapes he makes are hilarious, as are the ideas.

I'm watching this one atm:

Totally hilarious!

I remember getting a video called Pingu: A Barrel of Fun when I was five. By the time I was six, my wee brothers got one called Pingu 2: Building Igloos and I remember then thinking that I'd grown out of it. I still watched it because it was completely tits, though.

Robbie the Seal was a cheeky wee bastard!

EDIT: Was it Swiss?

I have no idea, but their noises sound very un-English. The weirdest thing is that horn thing he does with his beak - "SNORK SNORK!"

I wish I watched Pingu more when I was younger.

The thing I loved about Pingu was you know the 'English version' of the story was nothing like the foreign story. They could of been saying

SHIT PISS CUNT MOTHERFUCKER TITS AND TWAT and you would never know.

Theres a pingu dvd in HMV for like £4 atm loads of episodes on it. I had to by my dad a Paddington Bear dvd for his birthday and was quite tempted.

what a great thread.
when i initially posted my dvd collection video on here i thought that i would get the odd wisecrack or smart alec comment about my badass pingu dvd.
instead it has been quite the opposite and im glad you all realise just how awesome it actually is.

yeah the piss ones are soooo funny no matter what age you are. :D
and the one where the seagull keeps shitting on pingu is pretty sick but funny.

and maybe its just me but does anyone get emotional or feel saddened when any of the characters are upset or crying? :eyes:
also the animators deserve some credit =D> as pingu is pretty underated compared to the nick park stuff.
