Trapped In The Closet (R Kelly's Hip-Hopera)

Postby jonny_boy34 on Mon Mar 05, 2007 3:18 am

I'm sure by now most people here have witnessed this true epic (and its South Park counterpart, of course). It surely is one of the most hilarious things man has ever created. What the good lord!

Anyone who hasn't seen it, pop on over to youtube, search for 'charlie brooker trapped in the closet' and hopefully you'll get chapter 9 of 12, which is a great chapter. Note that every chapter is EXACTLY the same but with different lyrics and different people, but most of the chapters have R Kelly holding a gun and threatening to cap some bitch.

I've been following this since episode 4 and it only gets funnier. The best part is probably, as you said, R Kelly's constant threats of homicide in the face of rather plain social drama.

The worst one yet was the episode with the cop, the fat girl, and the midget. You know the one I mean. I laughed until it hurt.

That's the one! That's the chapter 9 I mentioned that was on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipes. Good god, I couldn't believe my eyes and my ears. "Now he goes up to the cabinet! Now he's opening the cabinet! Yes he's opening the cabinet! Now he's opening the cabinet!" And then R Kelly jumps onto the screen from nowhere and it's bloody brilliant. And then he says 'A midget!' and fades further and further back doing different poses as he cries 'Midget!' Oh god, yes indeed, that's funnier than most actual good comedy. I can't believe it!

Oh yes and I musn't forget about the most classic bit in that chapter: "He says move! She says no! He says move! She says no! He says move! She says no! Bitch move! She moves!"

I've got the whole thing (episodes 1 - 12) as a single file at home, it's legendary for so many reasons. Not least R Kelly's insane amount of gun toting... and a MIDGET!

Midget...

midget...

midget...

I really couldn't believe it when I first saw it. I haven't watched any of them since last year, so I'm gonna youtube them up (my bloody laptop with all the files on broke into 10000 pieces last month!).

Are there any more coming out?
