I wish i had I wish.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I couldnt disagree with this more, i believe music is a representation of something, i dont believe that it is made intentionally to try and reach someone, either mentally or physically.

If you're goal is to play to all 6 billion people on this planet Regardless of weather they want to hear you or not, then i wish you luck. It is no goal of mine.

=D>

It's cool to sell loads of records I guess, but anyone who starts a band with the soul intention of selling millions is doing it for the wrong reasons.
Good music is good music if 100 people like it or if 100,000,000 people like it.

Yes but isn't it just natural to want to progress as a band and make something of yourself, regardless of money? To play to more people, to gain more experience - surely a band has to come to the table with optimism and wanting to push forward?

selling millions of records

Postby Phillybomb on Fri Sep 14, 2007 8:58 am

I think we've stumbled on one of those endless topics here. Everyone's going to have their own totally relevant point about the reasons why bands make music - but my saying it was made to reach people didn't mean six billion of them. As has been said, if there's 100 or 1 million who like it, it doesn't matter as long as it's good music.
There's been some really interesting debate about the whole signing thing here, but I still think it's a good thing to happen to a band!

Interesting about that touring myspace site, by the way. Hadn't seen that before.

Roll on tomorrow!! :rockdevil:

I think making music is about getting money and fit birds. I can't see any other reason.

always liked BBB, but I'd say they shouldn't have been signed, I mean they haven't even been around very long and they're pretty damn young.. the thrash happens to be very good (all the riffs are typical
-0-3-5-6- scale though), but it is fucking well done... best of luck to 'em but I'd say they've moved too fast from a local 'underground' band to a signed band so we'll just have to wait and see what happens!!!
