no it's not,

using the simple economic theory of demand and supply we can Assume that illegal downloads reduce the demand for cds. Therefore companies either lower the supply of their cds to keep up the price or reduce the price of cds to increase demand again.

Nah. CD's have always been expensive, even before there was an internet. I've been buying them since they first came out.
