Hello,
Ill apologise in advance, but I just feel compelled to come on here and rant about how fucking dreadful this peace of music is and how disgusted I am that they still get to make records, when even the newest bands in the UK are writing some more interesting stuff than fucking machine head.
The Blackening....is just the MOST mundane peice of metal ive ever heard! Its unbelievably boring! Everything, every riff.....every breakdown, every tuneful interlude with singy singing in it has been done to death, and most of all done to death by them. HOw are they still allowed to make records??? They havent written anything good since a couple of tracks of The Burning Red....or maybe one or two on Supercharger. Its so dissappointing, I read a review in Terrorizer of it before downloading it, and it was given an 8.5 or 9 out of 10 I think, and declared the best thing theyve written. Its bloody awful.
As I write this, theyve just borken into a huge epic, fast dual soloing bit......and im sorry, but my dick has now shrunk so far into my body, I now have a vagina. THANKS ALOT ROB FLYNN YOU CUNT WHO IS SHIT AT EVERYTHING.
Theyve started writing about how bad America is and the injustice of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan...... erm, sorry boys, your abput 5 years too late. fucking pricks.

Spot on! I think Machine Head are the worst band who have ever existed by virtue of their bullshit attitudes and bandwagon jumping bollocks. Its disgusting that this band are still being paid to record whatever tripe they think will sell to todays MTV market whilst good bands all over the shop are floundering. Rubbish!

The new Machine Head song I heard was pretty decent.
'Summon the cleansing of this world! Armageddon unleashed upon Earth!'

Sadly, if thrash metal does experience the resurgence people are predicting, I can see this happening as Robb 'returns to his roots' in order to shifta few more units.

Not heard it, though machine head were never my thing. Metal is too commercial in general today, thats why i am happy i found this place. While i would love for all the bands on here to get signed by major labels and go far part of me would hate it.
If Thrash became huge again it would be an excuse for mediocre bands to be pushed into the limelight as if they were Jesus or something. Much like what happens today, labels go out looking for these cunts and blag hype them as if they are gods gift.

On the subject of Machine Head, i actually quit writing for metal hammer because of machine head!!! I was given my first major review to do, (of "the more things change", one of those full page review / article thingys), and i was TOLD to make it a good review, as Roadrunner had made it a priority release, and had booked X amount of advertising in MH for it over the next few issues!!! As i knew i wasnt a big fan of the band, i said maybe they should give it to someone else, but got a load of abuse (bear in mind i wasnt being paid for writing for them!!). I did actually tell the reviews editor to (and i quote) "take your heavy metal version of smash hits and stick it up your arse"!!!!
