There was a few in my first year who went mental all the time, because they weren't legally allowed to drink in pubs and bars and stuff, but no one batted an eyelid because everyone was students..

It depends on your age, I suppose. I finished my Highers when I was 16. I would have started and finished my Advanced Highers at 17 but I dropped out of school because I was beginning to turn into the miserly drunk I am today. I'd only just turned 18 when I started Uni which was cool but I had a couple of mates who had been drinking for three years anyway and weren't going to let being a student stop them.

We have more practical Education and Healthcare and you don't have to pay for much here. The SNP have just scrapped the graduate endowment: beforehand you'd have to pay a £2, 000 tax on finishing Uni as opposed to the £4, 000 you have to pay per year in England. The same goes for prescription chargers: until recently I'd have to pay c. £100 a year for all my medications which is fine because the actual cost of them is probably in the tens of thousands per year. The good thing is that English simpletons can't claim they're keeping us afloat either because North Sea Oil is worth £5bn and there are roughly 5, 000, 000 Scots hence why we get on average £1, 000 worth of benefits more than everyone else in the UK.

Our accents are much better too, even the Glaswegian one.

As much as i really hate both the essex and east london accent i have to say it is slightly preferable to glasweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegian.
