Come on, it was hardly a 'savage beating'. The guy probably realises that, in hindsight, he should have just put her in a hammer lock and told her to button it. Still, I don't think anyone should expect to get away with dissent whilst under arrest. Should they, however, expect to be pinned down and punched in the back of the head? No.
Indeed. I know it wasn't exactly a savage beating, I was just trying to get across the point that he should've just used a bit of restraint, whatever she was doing. Perhaps the point that Rik was trying to make too. She may have been a ruffian saying Nee at her own free will to passers by, that needed a good beating, however that policeman deserves the same punishment a civilian would face for doing that to a 15-year-old girl, ruffian or not. He shouldn't get away with abusing his power, just as she shouldn't get away with stealing a car.
If, however, he had done the same thing to a paedophile, I may have contradicted myself entirely.
