Gene Hoglan joins Forbidden

Noticed this, might be of interest to people:

Death/Dark Angel/Strapping Young Lad drummer Gene Hoglan is set to replace Paul Bostaph, who was forced to withdraw due to ‘prior commitments’, in the line-up of reunited thrashers Forbidden. Gene explained, “My Forbidden brethren reached out to me and I was very honoured to say yes.”

Hoglan needs to stop fannying around and start up Dark Angel again. Forbidden are ok but Dark Angel CRUSHES them.

Probably the best man for the job if bostaph is unavailable

He said he'll only do it when he doesn't have to play the guitar and bass parts as well as writing the songs and playing the drums.

I'm happy Bostaph replaced Nick Barker in Testament and this is awesome news, good to see the reunion will still be going ahead with Gene Hoglan on drums!

overall Dark Angel were better. but 'Forbidden Evil' beats even 'Darkness Descends'. Brilliant riffs and leads.
