Don't you just love it when you're skim reading an article on Wikipedia and realise that some bored teenager has logged in and fannied it up?

As a Fifer I find the following especially hilarious:

Smith was a son of the controller of the customs known to the world as Brandon who has a small dick at Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. The exact date of Smith's birth is unknown, but he was baptized at Kirkcaldy on June 5, 1723, his father having died some six months previously. At around the age of 4, he was kidnapped by a band of Gypsies, but he was quickly rescued by his uncle and returned to his mother (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_smith).

Most people will have little to no interest in Adam Smith so it leads me to wonder who actually did this: a bored teenager or a mongoloid student.

I was reading the plot to a Shakespeare play (can't remember which one) so that I could attempt to blag my way through a seminar (I'd not read the play) and right at the end after I'd read it all, it said something like...


"SHAKSPEARRR IS GAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!"


I cried with laughter.

One of my mates was sad enough to write about himself on wikipedia. Think it's under andrew william thompson. Someone else changed all his information and just took the piss out of him. You can though block alterations if you posted the article

True, but you can't stop admins deleting your shit. I bet the guys who operate Wiki get fucking sick and tired of people inserting themselves into different fucking articles.

You guys hear about Stephen Colbert asking his fans to edit Wiki? He draws in a pretty large Nerd audience, so to make a point about the stability of "facts" he asked them to change the Wiki page to claim that the number of live elephants had quadrupled or something similar. Interesting stuff.

When the latest Celebrity Big Brother started all the articles on the people who where going in got abused, espically H's it featured many a slang for homosexual.
